Job Posting – Intern Position I: Marketing Assistant – Social Media/PR
Hourly Rate: $12/hr
Number of Hours per week: 15-20
Learning Objectives: Attain Marketing experience working with VetFriends.com – a U.S. Military Veteran web-based company with over 2.5 Million nationwide members & 10,000 online catalog products. Learn online marketing and advertising strategies, social media promotions, Search Engine Optimization work and website optimization.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills desired:
-Strong attention to detail & focus
-Excellent grammar skills
-Good communication and problem-solving skills
-Familiar with Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and other sites
-Positive attitude, eagerness to learn
-Good research skills
-Ability to take on projects on your own and with a team
Tasks/Responsibilities include:
Assist Marketing Analytics manager with a variety of assignments such as:
- Proofreading/Web Testing: make test purchases and proof website looking for errors
- Social Media: Upload YouTube videos and help create new versions
- Social Media Posts: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Google+
- Public Relations: Search for negative online reviews and turn them over to Customer Service
- Web Copy-writing: Update Emails, transaction receipts, communications.
